Transitioning Summer to Fall Clothing.

6:08 PM

Fall has to probably be my favorite season! You can absolutely tell its coming around the corner when the lines at Starbucks get longer due to Pumpkin Spice items now being served. Anyways, lets not talk about Starbucks for too long cause I, myself barely know anything about coffee. There's one thing I know and that how complicated of a transition it is to go from summer clothes to fall clothes, especially in SoCal. But here are some of my tips on transitioning your closet from those spaghetti straps to long sleeves.

1. Mix & Match- Fall is when the weather starts getting cooler, but NOPE, not in Southern California. The weather is always hot and if its not hot its HOT ( if you know what I mean). Even though it's Fall it still stays super hot compared to most places.  I recommend throwing on a long sleeve or mid sleeve tops in your outfit to cater to the "cooled down" weather but also remembering that the temperature drops like 20 degrees once the sun goes down. Mix and Matching is great because you can take summer pieces and add some fall pieces in so you'll be a walking contradiction but a fabulous one at that. People will understand, they're probably doing it too!
2. Invest in Good Outerwear- Outerwear is important because you can wear it any season. Investing in staples such as a a denim jacket, a coat, and a trench coat is really important. I mean these things are suppose to keep you warm and fuzzy inside so why waste your time spending on cheap low quality materials that itch? I love a good denim piece because you can literally wear it with anything. You just gotta fine the right fit, I personally love over size denim jackets because they just simplify and outfit which I love!                                                                                3. Ripped Jeans- Ripped jeans have been an outgoing trend for some time now. You can't go anywhere without old people stating, " you're paying money for holes in your jeans!" But I decided to put it in this post because ripped jeans are great in providing some warmth but they also let in the air in the holes so you're not sweating your butt off if it ever gets too hot. Plus they are a staple that can be styled in literally thousand of ways.

4. Small Bags- Out with the backpacks in with the small bags. In my opinion, I feel like backpacks were the "it" item this summer and it's time to say "goodbye" to them and hello to small bags. You can definitely see smaller bags coming out the closet by spotting them on popular Influencers such as Aimee Song and Sincerely Jules. Small bag are practical, lightweight and great for the fall/winter time.                                                                                  Those are 4 tips I have in transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall! I hope you enjoyed it and let me know how it works for you! TTYL.

Ann
